Evelyn Kriete is an editor, artist, stylist, marketing adviser, social media strategist, and new media coordinator. She is an event producer with over ten years experience and active involvement in a wide range of subcultures and trends. She has appeared in various news media, including The New York Times, MTV, VBS.tv, NHK, NBC, and the San Francisco Chronicle. She has worked with major media expos like NYCC and Dragoncon, and is the co-founder and co-producer of the black tie nightclub event Dorian’s Parlor. She has worked with projects such as the steampunk exhibition at the Museum of the History of Science in Oxford, Maker Faire New York, the films Repo! the Genetic Opera and War of the Worlds: Goliath, and the webseries World of Steam, and co-founded the music label Gilded Age Records. She has worked on the staff of several literary magazines, including Weird Tales, Steampunk Tales, and Sherlock Holmes Mystery Magazine. Her writing has appeared in Steampunk Reloaded and the Steampunk Bible. She is a fashion designer for the Australian clothing label Galley Serpentine.
